RAIN was a bit chilly.
"When you rely on technology so much for this production, it's inevitable that something will go wrong - and it did. The most significant mistake occurred when the sound effects stopped working during Strawberry Fields. What remained were only the guitars and drums. It was astonishing to see how little they truly contributed to the overall sound in that particular song.
The sound mix could have been improved. Occasionally, a single instrument and voices would overpower everything else. It might have been due to my seating position (mezzanine center), but the overall sound seemed confused.
The performers deserve credit for their excellent portrayal of the antics and voices of the Fab Four.
I've seen the video of the Beatles1964 Washington performance countless times. I believe they used that concert as inspiration for the Beatlemania era segment of the show. Paul was on point - but he talked excessively. In 1964, he often asked the audience, "Did you enjoy the show?" after every song?
Lennon's voice was excessively high. It somewhat spoiled 'A Day in the Life'. As a tip, avoid bringing binoculars or sitting too close. This production is best experienced with eyes closed or glasses off. Unfortunately, George appeared the least impressive!
That's all from me. Despite the negative aspects, I would attend this production again. However, next time I'll bring my daughter (a huge fan).
